Ah yes, the baggage allowance is a challenge for the tourist who want to bring home more than memories, in the form of heavy souvenirs and pasalubongs. While this is good for those who want buffer arms, it is not so for the wallet if you exceed the baggage allowance.
Unless you're strangely gifted with the skill of estimating the weight of your luggage by caressing the zipper or something, you are most likely like the rest of us who have little to no idea how heavy your stuff already is. Here is a travel tip to make sure that you are never overweight with your checked-in luggage!

I am very handy! Agree with meee! |
How To Use
1. After turning it on, place the hook on the handle
2. Hold on to the string and lift it up
3. Have someone else look at the reading. The decimal of the reading will be unstable unstable since your luggage will be moving around but you get a good idea how many kilograms your luggage already is.
The heaviest luggage I've had was around 8kg. When I measured the weight, the portable digital weight scale was intact. It's a durable CDR King merchandise! I am hoping you are as highly amused as I am since I expected the hook to snap at this point. I have no idea how much weight it can carry because my spine is more important than testing this gadget's durability. Let me know if it can carry more than 15kg and feed my curiosity!
What other techniques do you know to avoid exceeding the baggage allowance?
