Before riding a plane, a boat, or a private helicopter if you're freakishly rich, you must first pack your stuff. Adventurer don't have huge luggages or bags! Look at Dora the Explorer and Lara Croft! A smart packing list has just the essentials. Let's start!

1. Don't put all of your valuables in one location. Scatter it in different bags and pockets. Try being a sneaky money ninja and stuff your money inside an empty lip balm container.  If you have an empty and clean lip balm container

2. Bring only the necessary toiletries (and/or makeup) so you'll be (relatively) clean and presentable. Most likely your hotel gives them for free too. Leave all the extras behind and rely on your gorgeous face, charming wit and killer smile to look fabulous on camera.

3. Avoid letting the insides of your bag look like you've placed an angry Wolverine as a souvenir. Keep your razors safe from scratching it by covering it with a big binder clip.

4. Roll, roll, roll your clothes! Not only disguise your lack of folding skills, rolling saves space and keeps your clothes from getting wrinkled.

5. Packing shoes means a lot of space gets occupied. The key to this travel hack is to utilize all the nooks and crannies. Maximize your foot size by putting items like undies inside a ziploc bag and stuffing them inside the shoe. Please do not try to bring a puppy when travelling.

6. Socks are pretty great on your feet. They're also awesome on keeping sunglasses and other gadgets scratch-free.

7. Bring a Sharpie. You'll never know when you'll need but, but chances are you will. Use it to label cups, plastic bags for souvenirs, hand puppets, or on your roommate's face when he's unconscious.

8. Mini flashlights are good to have for emergencies, light painting with a DSLR or lamely scaring your friend by shining it below your chin. To avoid it from accidentally turning on and draining the battery, flip turn the batteries around when not in use.

9. Challenge your Project Runway skills by finding that perfect pair of jeans that goes on with everything. Bring just a pair. Really, no one will notice that you've worn it twice or thrice already.

10. When picking clothes, choose 2 easy to pair colors so mixing and matching is a no-brainer, giving the illusion that you have a lot of fashown goodies in your bag or luggage.

Packing light for travel is an art and a science. I hope some of these things help you when making your packing list.
