Xocolat Cafe has 2 areas, al fresco and indoors. Since Xocolat is in the Philippines and it's summer every freaking day, only silly people would want to drink hot beverages on a fine almost 12 noon air. I think dining outdoors would be more logical at night.

It's a pretty place too. I enjoyed looking at the little details they put for aesthetic purposes

Ignoring the cashier's head, here is Xocolat's menu! I usually just eat desserts when in a cafe |
My mom and I had brunch. My stomach has an unusually small capacity during mornings and I already ate breakfast, so I only had Hot Xocolat. My mom got this huge serving of shake on a jar instead. I can't tell if it's intimidating or cute. It has real seeds inside and tastes tangy.

My Hot Xocolat is made up of chocolate chips with hot milky and frothy cream poured over it, toppoed with hot coco (I think.) I blended the melted chocolate and froth, and tadaa, I have hot coco! On the side is their tea ball which tastes like a pale sweet biscuit. It probably works better with tea than the already sweet drink that I had. My Hot Xocolat tastes like a milder version of tablea.
Dessert time! Banoffee Pie and Hot Xocolat P145 |
While waiting for the omelette, I got distracted and took this photo of their wall decors. This is a painted paddle! I am easily amused.
The omelette took a long time to be served. Normally, I would've been irritated since well, come on, how hard would it be to cook scrambled egg with ham and cheese? Xocolat is undermanned for that day so it was forgivable.. There's only one guy on the counter, who is also the guy who serves the food
The omelette finally came after xxx minutes. It has 2 centimeters of cheese inside, with bits of diced ham. Cheese makes everything worth waiting for.

Wow, the shake looks really good! Too bad we don't have Xocolat in Jakarta. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is :) Jakarta! I plan to visit there when I have enough money and someone to go with (which will take a while)
DeleteThe place looks rather quaint. I'll definitely love to hang out here. That banoffee pie looks delish.
